Communication, Language and Literacy

This term our topic is Traditional Tales, starting with Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We will be creating the Three Bear’s cottage in our role play area to support our learning.

We are continuing with Phase 3 in our daily phonic sessions of Letters and Sounds. We have new ‘tricky words’ to learn and more digraphs and trigraphs to add to our segmenting and blending skills when reading and spelling. (Remember to record daily reading in the Reading diary and to check the phoneme wallet for the new sounds).
