What we are learning in Autumn Term 1...

In Literacy next term, we will be using the story of Charles Dickens to inspire newspaper reports and stories. We are reading the Little Princess and contrasting this with Street Child which we read last half term.

In Maths next term, we will be applying our division skills and exploring fractions, decimals and percentages.

In RE next term, we will be covering the topic of Justice.  We will be looking at the works of inspirational people who fought for justice and thinking about the role it plays in our own lives.

In science next term, we will be learning about classification - how animals and plants are grouped on specific characteristics.

In History, we are looking at the Victorian era, specifically the lives of Victorian children.

In PE next term, we will be creating routines for dance.

Computing French Art
In music next term, we will be rehearsing for our Christmas carol concert.

In computing next term, we will be developing our typing skills.

This half term, we are working with a French expert to develop our French vocabulary.  In Art, we are looking at the work of William Morris and creating print designs inspired by his wall papers.
