In guided reading, the class will be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and looking at extracts from the Horrible Histories - Angry Aztecs.

This week, we will be comparing the Incan and Mayan creation myths.

Our grammar focus will be using repetition, adverbials and ellipsis to create cohesion.

This week, we are converting between units of metric measure and exploring their relationship with imperial units of measure.

We will then use this understanding to solve problems.


This week, we will be thinking about the story of the Passover.

This week, we will be looking at the contributions made by Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace to our scientific knowledge of evolution and natural selection.   

This week, we will be looking at the historical location of the Ancient Mayan Civilisation in comparison with modern day Central America.

 PE will begin next Tuesday.

  • PE will be on a Tuesday.
  • Children should be reading every day and practising their spellings and times table tasks daily.

  • After Christmas, Children will be sent home with weekly revision tasks which they should be sharing with you. They should be completing this alongside their main homework task. If any children would like additional work, they are welcome to request this.

  • Please use the revision guides provided to support out of school work.
